The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the world’s largest professional association with more than 430,000 members in about 160 countries. IEEE is dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence in electrical and electronics engineering. IEEE publishes 30 percent of the world’s literature in related disciplines, and holds more than 300 major conferences and 6,000 local meetings annually. Recognized as essential guides for industry, more than 800 active IEEE standards are in use today with 700 currently in development.
The IEEE Turkiye Section covers the geographical area of the Republic of Turkiye and, as of May 2016, has currently more than 1400 active members. Turkiye Section belongs to Region 8, which consists of Europe, Middle East and Africa.
