We would like to present the award in four different categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>An award for papers dedicated to improving current state-of-the-art physical layer communication Technologies.<\/li><li>An award for papers dedicated to improving current state-of-the-art MAC\/Network layer Communication Technologies.<\/li><li>An award for papers dedicated to improving the current state-of-the-art all other layers of communication technologies, application layer in particular.&nbsp;<\/li><li>An award for papers dedicated genuine machine learning techniques to improve current state-of-the-art communication Technologies.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All papers, whose first author is a student, will be automatically be eligible for all categories of these awards.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Basis for Judging<\/strong><br>Originality, Accuracy, Timeliness, Impact, and Clarity of presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Awards Committee<\/strong><br>The Awards Committee will be responsible for the final selection.&nbsp;The committee will consist of IEEE ComSoc Turkey chair, vice-chair and an adivisor commitee of size around 10 members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Selection Process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All candidates will be carefully monitored by the Awards Committee for final selection by the beginning of June. The selection process shall comply with procedures and regulations established in IEEE and ComSoc governing documents, in particular with IEEE Policy 4.4 on Award Limitations<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Publicity<\/strong><br>The award will be announced during the SIU conference and further be publicized on the IEEE Communications Society Turkey website and electronic newsletter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/siu2021.bau.edu.tr\/en\/\">https:\/\/siu2021.bau.edu.tr\/en\/<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The IEEE Turkey ComSoc SIU Best Student Paper Awards honors the author(s) of meritorious papers of the 2021 IEEE Signal Processing and Communication Applications (SIU) conference dealing with a subject related to the Society\u2019s technical scope.
