TUBITAK Project: Development and testing of concurrent algorithms to solve mixed integer linear programming problems in distributed memory systems

There is one graduate student opening for a TUBITAK supported Project entitled “Development and testing of concurrent algorithms to solve mixed integer linear programming problems in distributed memory systems”. We are going to solve MILPs by running heuristics and cutting plane algorithms concurrently in distributed memory systems. The team includes Industrial engineering and Computer engineering faculty members. We are looking for graduate students (Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Operation Research) who have ability to code heuristics and/or cutting plane algorithms for MILPs and who have (or want to gain) experience on MILPs, and distributed memory systems. Faculty members have hands-on experience with the project internals as well as implementation. This might be a great opportunity for students to learn from them as well. Interested candidates should contact me by sending an email to [email protected] with a CV and a cover letter.
